Cloud computing has the advantage of easy access to data from anywhere. It also has the disadvantage that if the internet fails or you lose access to your ‘cloud’ provider you lose access to your data.

Aparion recommend cloud computing where appropriate. It is often a combination of cloud and use of a local office server that provides the best and most versatile solution.

With cloud computing, the system can quickly be changed to adapt to your changing needs.

Using Cloud Computing your systems and data is off-site and this means you are not reliant on having the systems you need set up on your office machines and therefore you can access your data from any computer that can connect to the internet. This allows for flexibility of working both in and out of the office. Another benefit is reduced maintenance cost, as the service is supported by your cloud supplier and allows quick expansion of your business at any time.

Cloud based solutions can provide data backup, access to single programs or even your entire IT platform, all without having to buy software or infrastructure. All that is needed is access to an internet connected computer and away you go.

The Aparion cloud is different to most other clouds in that your data is on our hardware and therefore we know exactly where data is safely stored and more importantly so do you. Knowing the location of the cloud, specifically your data, becomes extremely important if there is a problem.

Other more mainstream Cloud Computing providers do have problems from time to time and can leave your data inaccessible for days. Loss of internet or major attack on their systems does happen from time to time. At Aparion, we know that loss of access to your data for more than 24 hours is unacceptable. Therefore it is possible for us to physically download your data from our server which can then be delivered to your office. Meaning you can go back to work within hours instead of possibly waiting for days – Result! It may also enable you to continue working when you have internet failure.
